Where Live-Action Production meets 2D Animation Production

The Goal

Bringing Back Live-Action 2D Animation

As technology advances with each passing day, it has become easier and more popular to produce films and TV shows with computer-generated imagery (CGI) and 3D animation. However, there is a certain charm and nostalgia associated with 2D animation that has been slowly fading away. But what if we could bring back the magic of 2D animation, and combine it with live-action filmmaking?

This idea is not entirely new, as many classic films like "Mary Poppins" and "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" have successfully combined live-action performances with 2D animation. These films were groundbreaking in their time, seamlessly combining the two mediums to create a unique viewing experience that captivated audiences.

But in recent years, there has been a lack of new films that experiment with this hybrid medium. With the advancements in technology, it may seem like 2D animation is a dying art form and that this style of filmmaking may no longer be necessary. However, this mindset overlooks the undeniable power of 2D animation and the depth it can bring to a live-action film.

Imagine a plotline in which a character journeys through a magical land, encountering fantastical creatures and landscapes that are impossible to capture through live-action alone. Through the addition of 2D animation, we can expand our imagination and explore beyond the limitations of our world.

2D animation is a unique way to engage younger audiences who have grown up with mostly CGI and 3D animation. By incorporating 2D animation, we can introduce children to a unique and magical style of filmmaking that they may have never experienced before.

While CGI and 3D animation have their own advantages, they should not overshadow the beauty and magic of 2D animation. The advancements in technology that has propelled 3D animation such as motion capture, rotoscope and AI, can also be implemented in 2D animation. Bring back Live-Action 2D Animated productions..and tell great stories.
